Deutchesfest

Held Thursday through Sunday on the third weekend in September. Attracts an average of 30,000 people. This is the community’s main event celebrating its German heritage.  Activities range from a great selection of live bands, a bed race, Beirgarten, Youth Garten, German foods, Arts and Craft Show, Flea Market, Parade, Fun run, 3 on 3 basketball, poker run, and more. www.deutschesfest.com

Deuchesfest Keg Throwing Contest

Held the third Saturday in September. Sponsored by the Rocky Coulee Brewing Co.

Turkey Carnival

Sponsored by the Odessa Lions Club.  Held at the Odessa Community Center. Includes games and prizes for children, as well as bingo and dice with prizes and frozen Turkeys, and a lunch counter serving burgers and homemade pies.

Odessa Historisches Museum

Takes you back over 100 years into the past, while local genealogists will help trace your heritage at the Big Bend American Historical Society of Germans from Russia located in an historic church.

Lakeview Recreation Area

Located 8 miles north of Odessa, owned and maintained by the Bureau of Land Management. Carved by the Missoula Floods over 12,000 years ago, you will find Pacific and Walter Lakes, the Odessa to Pacific Lake Trail, and the geologically unique Odessa Craters.
