Deer Park, Washington

Deer Park is often referred to as the "Gateway to Panorama Land."  Its proximity to numerous lakes and recreational areas, as well as a metropolitan area of a nearly 400,000 population, allows its residents to enjoy the best of both worlds.  Deer Park has a population of 3,017 within the city limits, while an additional 20,000 live within 15 miles of downtown Deer Park.  Deer Park is located just 22 miles north of downtown Spokane.  Deer Park is easily accessible by two main highways with golden fields and pine forests surrounding it. Deer Park offers its own amenities and cultural experiences.  There are twenty lakes within a 50-mile radius and eight within twenty minutes of downtown Deer Park for fishing and water fun.  The local Arts Commission offers a gallery in addition to art classes.  Deer Park boasts of having more per capita acreage dedicated to parks than other Washington city.  There is a pool park, skate park (with ramps and grinding bars), basketball court park, sports complex, lighted ball fields, soccer fields and an arboretum. In addition, there are three RV parks, BBQs, picnic parks and a park with a gazebo for outdoor entertainment with a spring creek.  Deer Park has a very challenging 18 hole public access golf course with beautiful home sites.  The snow skiing opportunities abound near Deer Park—you can drive 20 minutes north or 40 minutes south to reach one of many ski resorts, or you can cross-country ski in Deer Park on trails surrounding the Airport.
